Dr. Francesca Busa, PT, DPT, CSCS, CPT

Dr. Busa has been a competitive athlete the majority of her life. Receiving 11 varsity letters for volleyball, basketball and softball at Smithtown East and being inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2017. She continued her softball career at Ithaca College, where she started at shortstop for four years and received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. While Dr. Busa was in college she sustained a low back injury, despite this injury she was able to see her career through by managing her pain and taking less repetitions at practice. Years later Dr. Busa reinjured her back to the point that she had to take time off work to recover her injury. To learn more about her diagnosis you can visit her Instagram page drb_eternalathletics. What drives Dr. Busa to do what she does today is due to everything she endured while recovering from her devastating back injury. "I don't want what happened to me to happen to anyone else because my injury could have been avoided with proper education." Dr. Busa wants to help people build tolerance and resiliency in the body to improve performance and quality of life for the entirety of someone's life.
